Tim Hannaford won the “Best Cartoon, Illustration in the Clarion Awards 2011” and was in the top 10 for News Ltd Artist of the Year Award in 2005 & 2006 (www.newsawards.com.au/00-archives). He received a Certificate of Appreciation for political satire from the Gold Coast City Council in bringing to point major issues.



Tim freelanced for prestigious agencies like Cliff Sheldrake Studios and MOJO Advertising in Brisbane. He thrived in the roles of Art Director at the Gold Coast Bulletin. the DDIAE (Toowoomba University), Art Director of the Sydney Morning Herald (night shift ) and Assistant Art Director at the Newcastle Herald.

A personal highlight was not only to draw for Australian MAD Comics but to be included in a poster of all the MAD artists both here and the US.

Now emancipated after 35 years in the newspaper industry and free from the mortgage dictator, it is now time to for him to apply his craft to what he loves best, painting and illustration.
